About our Club

Wrestling is one of the oldest form of unarmed combat known to man. The fact that it is still practiced by people all over the world in various forms and permutations today is a testament to its effectiveness.

And effective it is: once a well trained wrestler has his/her hands on you, unless you know how to properly defend, in the blink of an eye you'll find yourself on your back without knowing how you got down there.

Dave Mair knows well how effective wrestling is: he is currently the head coach of the Canadian National Men's Wrestling Team, has coached over a hundred competitors to winning the national title, and has traveled across the globe coaching at World and Olympic Championships.

Dave's extraordinary passion for wrestling has also spilled over into the MMA world. He has helped the UFC’s George St. Pierre (GSP), Mark Bocek, Jeff Joslin, Mark Homminick and Chris Horedecki, as well as several other professional fighters with their wrestling.

No one in Toronto is more qualified to teach you wrestling, whether it be for fitness, the pursuit of an Olympic dream, or as the fundamental grappling component of your MMA repertoire.
